Bulat Khalilov – Talk
In correspondence to the release of MUSIC FROM THE CAUCASUS – the Archive of ORED Recordings (TAL39) we share an evening with Bulat Khalilov and Timur Kodzoko, the two founders of the outstanding label ORED Recordings. Punk ethnomusicologists Bulat Khalilov and Timur Kodzoko hail from Nalchik, historic home of the Circassian people, to record and research a music that transcends borders and ethnic divisions of the North Caucasus region in C.21st. Khalilov & Kodzoko are now based in Göttingen in the middle of Germany, where they run Ored Recordings, a label preserving traditional and local music from the Caucasus and beyond.
For the concert Kodzoko will team up for an exclusive live set with electronic musicians Martina Bertoni from Berlin and Stefan Schneider.
